ANITA NAYYAR
A Social and Communications Psychologist who specialises in the impact of mass and micro communications on audiences and in community mediation through conflict. She will be paying attention to the trickle down impact of government communications on people's ability to cope, manage and emerge healthy from the pandemic and its aftermath.
MALIKA SPEAKS
Malika Speaks is a Spoken Word artist whose work raises awareness about Mental Health, Wellbeing and Community Cohesion. She will be curating the content on the project page.
MYIRA KHAN
Myira is an Accredited Counsellor, Coach and qualified Supervisor, working in private practice, under the organisations ‘Myira Khan Counselling’ and ‘Grow To Glow’. In 2017 Myira helped establish the Leicester Centre for Psychodynamic Counselling.
Myira is the Founder of the Muslim Counsellor and Psychotherapist Network (MCAPN). It connects Muslim counsellor, therapists and psychologists, to offer networking and CPD opportunities, and raise visibility of Muslim practitioners via their Counselling Directory.
Myira was a Trustee of BACP (2016-2019). As a Muslim BME counsellor and supervisor Myira represents the diversity within the profession and promotes BME counselling. Myira was awarded the Mental Health Hero Award (2015) by then Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg.
MICAH ANDERSON
Micah is an Associate Marriage Family Therapist with a humanistic-existential approach, offering a decade of experience with both group facilitation, couples work, and one-on-ones. His specialties include mindfulness-based interventions, trauma and crisis, incarcerated youth and adults, and Muslim outreach.
